By law (FSANZ Code 2.9.1), infant formulas must contain folic acid (vitamin B9). Folate, the natural form, is unstable in powdered formulas, so folic acid is used to guarantee effectiveness. B9 plays a vital role in cell growth and red blood cell formation.

Is your formula lactose-free and gluten-free?

Yes. Because Sprout is 100% plant-based, it contains no lactose (milk sugar). All infant formulas in Australia and New Zealand must also be gluten-free, so Sprout is naturally gluten-free as well.

Does your formula contain DHA and other nutrients?

Yes. Sprout includes DHA from algae (Omega-3) for brain and eye development, along with a full spectrum of vitamins and minerals including calcium, iron, vitamins A, C, D, B12, and more.

What’s the ideal mixing temperature?

Sprout dissolves best in slightly warmer water than other formulas, around 50–70°C after boiling. Shake a little longer than usual until smooth. Always cool and test the temperature on your wrist before feeding (should feel lukewarm).

Which bottles do you recommend?

Sprout recommends NUK First Choice No Colic + Temperature Control bottles. They help prevent colic, are BPA-free, and have a teat that adapts naturally to a baby’s mouth.

Can I use Sprout with Baby Brezza?
