How much Nannycare Goat Stage 1 should you buy? 

If Nannycare Stage 1 is your baby’s only source of nutrition and you follow the feeding guide, expect to use about 2–3 tins per month in the first weeks, rising to about 5 tins per month from 3 months. 

If you also breastfeed or have started solid foods, you will need less. Every baby is different, so always follow your pediatrician’s advice.

1. Wash your hands well. Sterilise all bottles, teats and caps according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
2. Boil 1 litre of fresh tap water and leave it to cool for no more than 30 minutes, so the water is still at least 70°C (158°F). Do not use water that has been artificially softened or boiled before. Pour the amount of water shown in the feeding guide into the sterilised bottle. Be careful of scalding.
3. Using only the scoop provided, lightly fill it with powder and level it off with the leveller built into the rim of the tin. Add the number of scoops shown in the feeding guide: always 1 level scoop (4.3 g) per 30 ml (1 fl oz) of water.
4. Put the sterilised teat and cap on the bottle and shake well until the powder is fully dissolved. Cool the bottle under a running cold tap until it is lukewarm, test the temperature on the inside of your wrist, and feed immediately. Use feeds within 2 hours and discard anything left over.
