Kendamil Classic vs Organic vs Goat vs Bio Nature: Which Kendamil Is Right for Your Baby?

By: The Milky Box Team - Updated October 2026 - 6 Minute Read

Kendamil is one of the most popular formulas we sell, and also one of the most searched. With Classic, Premium, Organic, Bio Nature and Goat ranges, it’s easy to wonder what actually differs between them. The short version: they share the same whole-milk base, and the real choices are organic or not and cow’s or goat’s milk.

Quick answer:

  • Want certified organic? Choose Kendamil Organic or Kendamil Bio Nature. Their recipes are practically identical.
  • Want the classic Kendamil recipe, not organic? Choose Kendamil Classic or Kendamil Premium. Premium adds a second prebiotic fiber (FOS).
  • Want goat’s milk? Choose Kendamil Goat, made with whole goat’s milk.

What every Kendamil formula has in common

  • Whole milk as the first ingredient, keeping the natural milk fat
  • No palm oil; the oils are sunflower, coconut and rapeseed
  • Prebiotic GOS (galacto-oligosaccharides)
  • DHA for brain and eye development, from algae rather than fish oil
  • No added starch or maltodextrin
  • Made in the UK

Kendamil Organic and Kendamil Bio Nature

Both are certified EU organic and made with organic whole milk, organic whey protein and organic vegetable oils. Their Stage 1 ingredient lists are practically identical, so the difference is mainly the name and packaging. If Kendamil Organic is out of stock, Kendamil Bio Nature is the closest match. Kendamil Classic and Kendamil Premium

The original Kendamil recipe, made with British whole milk and whey enriched in alpha-lactalbumin, a key protein in breast milk. It isn’t certified organic. Kendamil Premium has practically the same recipe as Kendamil Classic, with a second prebiotic fiber (FOS) added, and also comes as a Stage 4 toddler formula from 24 months. Premium Stage 1

Premium Stage 3

Premium Stage 4

Kendamil Goat

Kendamil Goat is made with whole goat’s milk and goat whey, with the same palm-oil-free oils, GOS and algae DHA as the cow’s milk ranges. Some families find goat’s milk formula gentler; it isn’t certified organic. Goat’s milk formula is not suitable for babies with a cow’s milk protein allergy. Compare it with Jovie in our Jovie Goat vs Kendamil Goat guide.

How to choose

  • Organic matters most to you? Kendamil Organic or Bio Nature.
  • You want the classic Kendamil recipe and don’t need organic? Kendamil Classic or Premium.
  • You prefer goat’s milk? Kendamil Goat.
  • Your toddler is over 2? Kendamil Premium Stage 4.

Because all Kendamil ranges share a similar whole-milk base, many babies move between them easily. Still, change formula gradually and talk to your pediatrician first; our switching guide explains how.
