Sprout Organic Is Now Berdie Organic: What Changed (and What Didn’t)

If you’ve been feeding your baby Sprout Organic plant-based formula, you may have spotted a new name on the can: Berdie Organic. Here’s what the change means and why your baby’s formula is exactly the same.

Short answer: Berdie Organic is Sprout Organic. Since 6 August 2026, Sprout’s plant-based infant formula and toddler drink are sold under the Berdie Organic brand in North America, in a larger 800 g (28 oz) can. The recipe has not changed.

What changed

  • The brand name on the can. In the US and Canada, Sprout Organic is now called Berdie Organic.
  • The can size. The new can holds 800 g (28 oz), up from 700 g (25 oz).
  • The packaging design. The can looks different, with the Berdie Organic logo at the top.

What didn’t change

  • The recipe. No ingredient has been added, removed or altered.
  • The organic certification and the 100% plant-based nutrition: organic rice and pea protein, with no dairy and no soy.
  • The company. It’s the same Australian family business, founded by Sel and Jen Berdie, made in Australia.
  • The product names. The formula is still called Sprout Infant Formula, and the toddler formula Sprout Toddler Drink.

Why the new name?

In the US and Canada, a much larger children’s food brand already uses a similar name to Sprout. To avoid confusion between the two and any trademark issues, the brand chose a new name for North America. Outside North America, the Sprout Organic name continues.
